KPI Boards: Visualizing and Managing Performance Dashboards
In the KPI Boards section, you create customized, visual dashboards that bring your most critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into a single, easy-to-understand view. Think of them as your personalized control panel for performance.
Instead of having to jump between various reports or individual KPIs, these boards allow you to:
- See everything at a glance: Get an instant overview of your key metrics without searching.
- Focus on what matters: Group KPIs relevant to a specific team, department, or strategic goal.
- Track progress: Monitor how specific areas of your organization or even individual roles are performing against their targets, all in one place.
To add a new KPI board:
- Navigate to the Perform → KPIs → Boards section from the main menu.
- Click the Create Board button.
- A sidebar will open where you can give your new board a descriptive name.
- Once
the board is created, you have the following options:
- Click Save and Add KPIs to confirm the board's name and immediately proceed to add specific KPIs to populate your dashboard.
- Alternatively, click Save to confirm the board's name and create an empty board, which you can then populate with KPIs later.
- Click Cancel to discard all changes.

You can add KPIs after creating a board by clicking the button next to the board name, and you can delete the board by clicking the Delete icon.

To open and view the KPIs within a specific board, click on the name of the board from the main "Boards"
listing page. The dedicated page will display the KPIs included in that board. These KPIs are presented in a grid view, distributing their Actual and Target values across monthly (or other periodic) columns for detailed tracking throughout the year.
Within a board, each KPI row gives key information to help you understand its performance:
- KPI Name: The title of the Key Performance Indicator.
- Owner/Category Information: Details about who owns the KPI and the category it belongs to (e.g., Accounting, Business Development).
- Actual Values: The recorded performance achieved for each period (e.g., monthly).
- Target Values: The set goals or desired outcomes for each period.
- KPI Configuration Icons: Next to the KPI name, you will find small icons (colored green and red) that differentiate how the KPI's target or calculation method is defined:
- One type of icon indicates that the KPI's value is defined by a formula, meaning its achievement is calculated dynamically based on other system data.
- Another type of icon indicates that the KPI represents a fixed value or a static target.
Actual Values Cell Colors: The background color of the "Actual" value cells for each month directly indicates the status of the performance for that period.
- Green: Signifies success.
- Red: Indicates a failure.
- Yellow: Represents an average performance.

Managing Boards
- Board Selection: If you manage multiple KPI boards, you can easily switch between them. Select and view the KPIs from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
- Filtering Board KPIs: To focus on specific data, click the Filter button. This allows you to apply various criteria to narrow down and display only the relevant KPIs within the current board (department, type, owner etc.)
- Deleting a KPI from the Board: Remove a specific KPI from the current board's display. Click the Delete icon next to the KPI.
- Please note: This action only removes the KPI from this specific board; it does not delete the KPI itself from the system.
- Deleting the Entire Board: To permanently remove the entire board dashboard, click the Delete icon at the top right corner of the board view.
