KPI Scoring

The Scoring section of the KPI module provides an overview of individual employee performance, as measured by their Key Performance Indicators. This section is vital for understanding how employees contribute to organizational goals, identifying performance trends, and facilitating effective performance reviews. It consolidates KPI results into clear, actionable scores, enabling you to gauge performance across your team and organization quickly.

The Scoring section is divided into two distinct tabs, Actual Score and Score History, each offering a unique perspective on performance data:

Actual Score Tab

The Actual Score tab presents a real-time snapshot of each employee's current performance score based on their assigned KPIs. This view is designed for immediate assessment of ongoing performance.

Each employee is represented by a dedicated card displaying:

  • Basic identifying information: employee name, position, branch, and department:
  • Current Score: A prominent numerical score indicating their performance, visually represented by a dial or progress bar for quick comprehension.
  • Performance Multiplier Explanation: This provides a clear statement that explains how the employee's score is calculated based on established performance thresholds and achieved results. It shows the specific performance multiplier value (e.g., "the performance multiplier for the Employee is 5") that has been applied to that employee.
  • Number of KPIs: A clickable link showing the total number of KPIs assigned to that employee.
    • Clicking this link opens a sidebar with a detailed view of their KPIs.
  • Modify Weights: An option to adjust the weighting of the employee's KPIs, influencing their overall score calculation.

Score History Tab

The Score History tab provides a historical record of employee performance scores over different periods, allowing you to track trends and review past achievements.

Similar to the Actual Score tab, each employee has a card, but with key differences:

  • Score Records: Instead of a live score, this indicates the number of historical score records available for the employee.
  • View History Button: Clicking this button opens a dedicated sidebar for that employee. This sidebar will display their Score History across previous years, allowing you to see past scores for each year. The score of last year can be edited directly within the sidebar if adjustments or corrections are needed.

Modifying KPI Weights

  1. Navigate to Perform → KPIs → Scoring
  2. Select Actual Score tab and click on the Modify Weight button within the employee card
  3. In the opened sidebar, use the "—" and "+" buttons to decrease or increase the percentage weight assigned to that specific KPI. Alternatively, you can click on the percentage value (e.g., "50%") and manually enter a new number.

    •  Ensure that the sum of all KPI weights equals 100% to accurately reflect the entire contribution to the overall score.
  4. If you want all listed KPIs to have an equal weight, click the Distribute Equally button at the     bottom left. The system will automatically adjust the weights to sum to 100%.

  5. Once you have set the desired weights and the "TOTAL" is 100%, click the Save button to    apply your changes.

By modifying these weights, the system precisely defines how individual KPIs contribute to the employee's overall performance score. This overall performance score then directly translates into a bonus amount, as determined by the Bonus Policy Configuration.

Important!

How KPI Scoring Translates into Bonus Outcomes

The system determines which formula to apply based on the employee's total calculated KPI score and the configured performance ranges within the Bonus Policy Configuration.

  1. Employee's Total KPI Score: First, the system calculates the employee's overall KPI score by combining their individual KPI achievements with the weights you set when Modifying KPI Weights.
  2. Matching Parameter Group: The system identifies the "Parameter Group" (Position Category: Engineering, Human Resources, etc.) that the employee belongs to.
    •  A bonus policy is defined specifically for each of these groups.
  3. Identifying the Performance Range: Within that employee's specific Parameter Group, the system then looks at the defined "Performance Ranges" (Min Range % to Max Range %). It finds the exact range into which the employee's total KPI score falls.
  4. Applying the Associated Formula: Each of these defined ranges has a specific Formula (Percent, Fixed, or Linear) selected during the configuration process. Once the system identifies the correct range for the employee's score, it automatically applies the formula (and its associated bonus values: Min Bonus, Multiplier/Fixed, Max Bonus (Cap)) that was set for that particular range.

So, it's a direct lookup: Employee's Score → Employee's Category → Matching Score Range within that Category → Apply the Formula assigned to that specific score range.

You can use the Filter button to view employee performance scores by department or branch office.
