Understanding the 9-Box Matrix in Review Settings

The Settings section within the Reviews module provides access to the 9-Box Matrix, a framework for evaluating employees based on their Potential and Performance. This matrix divides employees into categories across three levels: Low, Average, and High, offering a detailed assessment of their development needs and contributions to the organization.


Each cell in the matrix contains a description of the employee category it represents (e.g., Rough Diamond, Future Star, etc.), helping leaders interpret performance trends and potential growth opportunities.

You can modify the predefined definitions by clicking the Edit icon ✎ on any cell to align with your organization’s specific needs and language. This customization ensures that the evaluation framework reflects the organization’s culture and strategic objectives.
