Working with the User Roles
This article will guide you through the process of creating user roles and adding users to their respective roles.
To add User Roles:
- Open the Settings ⚙ and navigate to the Roles and Permissions → User Roles.
- Click + Add button.
- Specify the name of the role.
- Click the Save button once done.
Now you need to assign a User to a Role you have just created. Here are the steps:
- Open the Settings ⚙ and navigate to the User Role section of the Roles and Permissions
- Choose the User Role
- Select the Users tab
- Click +Add button
- Select the name of the employee from the drop-down list box
- Click the Save button once done.
Note: You cannot manually add users to the Employee role, as it is automatically assigned when inviting them to Spark.work.
To delete the User Role, click on the Delete icon 🗑.
After creating a user role, you cam move to the Permissions page, allowing you to configure the respective access rights.
Note: It is not possible to delete a user role if there is even one employee added to it. You will need to unassign the employee(s) from the user role to be able to delete it. Additionally, you cannot delete a system user role.
Now that you know how to create user roles, you can proceed to
configure the respective permissions for them.
