Creating Organization Bodies
Where to Find

Availability: Administrators. Employees cannot create or edit Body Types, but they may see them depending on access permissions.
On the Bodies page, you can manage all your existing units, see their assigned types, and track the number of employees within each
Note: Before creating your first Body, ensure you have defined your Body Types. This allows you to categorize each unit correctly from the moment it is created.
To create a new body:
- Open the Settings ⚙ and navigate to the Bodies section of the Company Structure.
- Click + Add button.
- In the Add Body window, provide the following details:
- Enter the name of the unit. (e.g., Engineering, Finance, or HR)
- Type: Select the category that best fits the unit, such as Department.
- This choice also sets the color-coding for that type across the platform.
- Parent Org Body: If the new unit is a sub-section of another, select the "parent" unit. For example, you might place Finance under a broader Administration parent body.
- Click Save to add the body to your structure.

- Create Hierarchy (Sub-Bodies): Click the + Add Sub button next to any Body to create a nested department.
- Filter: You can refine your list using the dropdown menus:
- Filter by Type: Select specific categories such as Department, Division, Unit, or Team.
- Filter by Status: Filter units by their current status, such as Active or Archived.
- Delete a Body: Click the Bin 🗑 icon to remove a unit.
- You can only archive a Body if it has no assigned employees; otherwise, you must unassign the employees first.
- Switch Views: Use the icons in the top right corner to toggle between layouts:
- List View: A detailed table format.
- Card View (Org Chart): A visual map showing the structure and relationships of your organization.

Easy-peasy! Now you know how to create bodies. Once all bodies are added and employees are imported or added manually, they form the foundation of your organization’s structure.
